Dr Andrew D Kiberu
MBChB, FRACP
Director & Consultant – Adult Medical Oncology | Geriatric Medicine & Rehabilitation
Director & Consultant · COGMO Bunbury

Dr Andrew D Kiberu is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), trained in internal medicine and dual subspecialised in Adult Medical Oncology as well as Geriatric Medicine & Rehabilitation. He has a subspecialty interest in the care of older patients with cancer, recognising that this often requires a holistic, individualised approach.

Dr Kiberu is based at Suite 6, St John of God Hospital, Bunbury, where he sees patients from across the South West of Western Australia. He works closely with local GPs, surgeons, radiation oncologists, palliative care physicians and allied health teams to ensure seamless, coordinated care.

Dr Kiberu works across the Perth metropolitan area and rural Western Australia, providing tertiary care at Fiona Stanley Hospital and quality rural oncology care at St John of God Hospital Bunbury — to both privately funded patients and patients funded through the Western Australian Country Health Service (WACHS). His rural oncology experience spans over 15 years, including Geraldton (St John of God and Geraldton Regional Hospitals), Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital, and Bunbury.

Over almost two decades working in tertiary centres (Fiona Stanley, Royal Perth and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospitals), Dr Kiberu has acquired expertise in the management of all solid tumours in adult and older patients. He has held tertiary subspecialty positions in GI (Upper GI and Rectal) Oncology, NETs, Thoracic, Genitourinary, Gynaecological, Skin & Melanoma, and Breast Oncology. He participates in multiple tumour subspecialty groups and MDTs at the tertiary level in Perth and South West WA.
